Out on Governors Island, there is an art exhibit called "This World & Nearer Ones" in one of the old military houses. When you walk into the house, its completely black. You can hear people around you- lots of people- but you can't see a thing. After your eyes adjust, you are able to see these rotating beams of light coming from the ceiling. In order to enhance the beams, there is the haze from a smoke machine, which after awhile make the beams appear to be walls. Without my tripod and with the moving lights it was really hard to get a clean shot- but regardless I thought I would post a few.
