Day 3: Great Bear Rainforest

The fog in the morning was outstanding. I stood on the dock with a fellow photographer, a nice man from India who is an outstanding wildlife photographer, as we snapped away merrily. No bears out that morning either...
By mid-afternoon, after a short boat ride, several members of our group prepared to leave the lodge. We watched as the sea plane came and went, bringing with it the only connection to the "real world" and departing with some new-found friends.  I love this photo.... Maybe because it puts me there, seeing the plane leave the wilderness, and feeling so happy I wasn't leaving for another 24 hours.  I cant really describe it, but it was majestic.
When the plane had left, and we were full on wonderful snacks, we headed out for another trip up the river. Thank God for the great company, because if it weren't for the conversation I would have never made it through those long bumpy bus rides! What a great group of people we had.
Another epic night out on the river. I can't believe I was so fortunate to witness what I did.
